Ingredients
Chicken
- 2 chicken breasts (boneless and skinless)
Seasoning Paste
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (increase to 1 teaspoon if using Diamond Kosher Salt)
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prepare the seasoning paste: In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, oregano, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil to form a paste that will evenly coat the chicken breasts.
- Coat the chicken: Rub the seasoning paste all over the chicken breasts, ensuring each piece is fully covered for maximum flavor infusion.
- Air fry the chicken: Place the coated chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 370°F (188°C) for 10 minutes.
- Flip and continue cooking: Flip the chicken breasts and air fry for an additional 4 to 8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for safe consumption.
- Rest the chicken: Remove the chicken from the air fryer and tent loosely with foil. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes. This helps redistribute the juices, resulting in moist and tender chicken.
Notes
- If using Diamond Kosher Salt, increase the salt to 1 teaspoon because it contains 50% less sodium than other kosher salt brands.
