Ingredients
Fruit
- 3 nectarines, pitted and sliced
- 1 frozen banana
Liquids
- 1 ½ cups plant-based milk
Instructions
- Freeze the Fruit: Place the sliced nectarines and banana in a freezer-safe tupperware with a lid. Freeze overnight or for at least 5 hours to ensure the fruit is fully frozen for a thick smoothie texture.
- Blend the Smoothie: Transfer the frozen fruit and plant-based milk into a high-power blender. Blend for about 3 minutes, using the blender’s tamper to push down the frozen fruit towards the blades, ensuring smooth and even blending without adding extra liquid at this stage.
- Serve Immediately: Once the smoothie achieves a creamy consistency with the fruit liquefied, pour it into glasses and enjoy right away for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For a thicker or thinner smoothie, add plant-based milk gradually, a small splash at a time, to reach your desired consistency; using fresh fruit will produce a thinner smoothie.
- Place soft or liquid ingredients closest to the blender blades for easiest blending; use the tamper to push down the frozen fruit.
- Using sweet, ripe fruit enhances the natural sweetness and flavor without adding sugar.
