Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 package original King's Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 count)
- 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 6 pieces sliced provolone cheese
Sauce & Seasoning
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Other
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray, or alternatively use a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.
- Mix Sauces: In a small bowl, combine the buffalo wing sauce and ranch dressing, stirring well to blend the flavors.
- Coat the Chicken: Place the shredded chicken in a large bowl, pour the buffalo-ranch sauce mixture over it, and stir thoroughly to ensure all chicken is evenly coated.
- Slice Rolls: Using a serrated knife, carefully slice the King's Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half, separating the top halves from the bottoms.
- Assemble Sliders: Evenly spoon the buffalo-coated chicken over the bottom halves of the rolls, then lay the provolone slices on top of the chicken.
- Add Tops and Butter: Place the roll tops over the cheese and mix garlic powder with the melted butter. Brush this garlic butter mixture over the tops of the rolls to add flavor and encourage browning.
- Bake Covered: Cover the assembled sliders with foil and bake for 10 minutes to melt the cheese and heat through.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake an additional 2-5 minutes to crisp the tops slightly, then remove from oven and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra spice, add more buffalo wing sauce or a dash of cayenne pepper to the chicken mixture.
- To make prep easier, use leftover rotisserie chicken or cook chicken breasts in advance.
- If you prefer a different cheese, pepper jack or Monterey jack can be substituted for provolone.
- These sliders are best served fresh but can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheated.
