Ingredients
Chicken and Sauce Mixture
- 2 large chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 cup Alfredo sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup fresh spinach (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: If the chicken breasts are not already cooked, season them with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until it is no longer pink in the center. Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the Alfredo sauce. Stir well until the chicken is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Add Cheese and Spinach: Stir the shredded mozzarella cheese and fresh spinach (if using) into the chicken and Alfredo mixture until everything is well combined.
- Warm Tortillas: Heat a separate skillet over medium heat and warm each flour tortilla for about 30 seconds on each side to make them flexible and easier to wrap.
- Assemble Wraps: Place a generous amount of the chicken Alfredo mixture in the center of each warmed tortilla. Fold the sides inward and roll the tortilla tightly from the bottom up to encase the filling.
- Toast Wraps: In the same skillet, add a little more olive oil and place the wraps seam side down. Toast each wrap for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet and allow them to cool for a minute. Cut each wrap diagonally in half to make them easier to eat.
- Garnish: Optionally, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top and serve with extra Alfredo sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- For a lighter option, use low-fat Alfredo sauce and reduced-fat cheese.
- Fresh spinach is optional, but adds a nice freshness and nutrients.
- You can substitute flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas if preferred.
- Leftover wraps can be refrigerated and reheated in a skillet or microwave.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
