Ingredients
For the Egg Rolls
- 8 pieces egg roll wrappers (Ensure they are fresh)
- 1 cup chocolate chips (Can swap for Nutella or white chocolate)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (Consider using flavored marshmallows)
- 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs (Crushed cookies can be a substitute)
For the Coating
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon (Adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup sugar (Brown sugar can be used for richer flavor)
For Frying
- 2 cups oil (Vegetable or canola oil recommended)
- 1/4 cup water (For sealing the egg rolls)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, stirring gently until well mixed to ensure even distribution of flavors.
- Assemble the egg rolls: Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Spoon a generous amount of the chocolate and marshmallow filling into the center and sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then roll tightly, sealing the edges with water to prevent opening during frying.
- Heat the oil: Pour enough oil into a medium pan to cover the bottom 1-2 inches and heat over medium-high heat until the oil reaches approximately 350°F (175°C), ideal for frying to a crisp golden exterior.
- Fry the egg rolls: Carefully place the assembled egg rolls into the hot oil. Fry each side for 2-3 minutes or until the wrappers are golden brown and crispy, using tongs to turn safely.
- Coat with cinnamon sugar: In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar. Once fried, remove the egg rolls from the oil and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat them evenly.
- Serve warm: Present the Cinnamon S’mores Egg Rolls warm to enjoy the melty chocolate and marshmallow filling at their best.
Notes
- Ensure egg roll wrappers are fresh to avoid tearing during assembly and frying.
- Maintain oil temperature around 350°F for optimal frying to achieve a crisp texture without absorbing excess oil.
- Use flavored marshmallows or substitute chocolate chips with Nutella or white chocolate for variety.
- Brown sugar can be used instead of white sugar for a richer cinnamon sugar coating flavor.
- Serve immediately after frying for the best texture and taste experience.
