These easy-to-make S’mores Cups combine a buttery graham cracker crust with melted chocolate and toasted marshmallow, all baked in mini muffin tins for about 20 minutes. Perfect for a quick, nostalgic dessert that captures the classic campfire treat in a convenient, bite-sized form.

  • Total Time: 21 minutes
  • Yield: 24 s’mores cups

Ingredients

Graham Crust

  • 1 cup finely crushed graham cracker crumbs (not packed)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted

Filling & Topping

  • 12 regular-sized marshmallows, halved to make 24 pieces
  • 2 full-size Hershey's Chocolate Bars, unwrapped and divided into 24 pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare muffin pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 24-cup mini muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray or grease it generously to ensure easy removal of the s’mores cups.
  2. Make graham cracker crust: In a small mixing bowl, combine the finely crushed graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and melted salted butter. Mix until well combined. Firmly press this mixture into the bottom and up the sides of each mini muffin cup to form small crust cups. Using a small measuring cup or your fingers works well for pressing the crumbs evenly.
  3. Bake crusts: Bake the crust cups in the preheated oven for 4-5 minutes until slightly set.
  4. Add marshmallows: Cut each marshmallow in half to create 24 pieces. Place one marshmallow half, cut side down, into each graham cracker cup.
  5. Broil marshmallows: Turn the oven setting to broil. Broil the marshmallows for 1-2 minutes until they become toasty golden brown. Watch them carefully to prevent burning.
  6. Add chocolate topping: Remove the pan from the oven and immediately top each toasted marshmallow with one piece of Hershey's chocolate.
  7. Cool and serve: Let the s’mores cups cool in the pan for 15 minutes to firm up, then carefully remove them from the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can buy pre-crushed graham cracker crumbs or crush graham crackers yourself, including chocolate-flavored varieties.
  • Using salted butter enhances the flavor balance; if using unsalted butter, add a pinch of salt.
  • Avoid using stuffed marshmallows as their centers do not melt well for this recipe.
  • Watch marshmallows closely during broiling to avoid burning.
  • Cool s’mores cups properly for easier removal from the pans without breaking.
